How to create a barcode or QR code

  1. Choose Barcode or QR Code at the top.
  2. Pick a label size from the list, or choose Custom and enter your own size in millimeters.
  3. Type the value you want to encode. For a barcode, also pick the barcode type that matches what you're using it for - for example EAN-13 or UPC-A for retail products, CODE128 for general use.
  4. Optionally add text above the code (e.g. a product name), choose whether to show the encoded value underneath it, and pick a border style if you want one.
  5. Click "Save" to keep it in your Saved Codes list, or "Download PNG" to save an image file you can use anywhere.

Barcode / QR Code FAQ

Is this barcode/QR code generator free?
Yes. It runs entirely in your browser - no signup, no account, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Is there a limit on how many codes I can generate?
No. Every barcode and QR code is generated locally in your browser, with no server calls and no usage cap - create and download as many as you need. The only practical limit is your browser's own storage space if you save a very large number to your Saved Codes list.
Where can I see my saved codes?
Click "Save" to add the current one to your list, then click "Saved Codes" any time to browse, reopen, or delete them. They're stored only in this browser - clearing your browser data removes them.
Will my barcode scan correctly?
Most scanners read CODE128, EAN-13, UPC-A, and similar standard formats reliably. Make sure your value matches the chosen format's requirements (shown as a hint if it doesn't), and avoid making the label too small.
Can I scan this with my phone?
Most phone camera apps can scan QR codes directly, no extra app needed. Traditional barcodes (CODE128, EAN-13, UPC-A, and similar) usually aren't recognized by a phone's built-in camera - you'll need a dedicated barcode scanner app to read those.
What label sizes can I use?
Pick a standard label size, or choose Custom and enter any size in millimeters - the on-screen preview and the downloaded PNG match exactly.
Can I add a border around the code?
Yes - the Border option applies to both barcodes and QR codes, with a few line styles (solid, dashed, dotted). It shows in the on-screen preview and in the downloaded PNG.
